July AZ Blogger Lunch With Pamela Gorman

I am way behind on posting my July follow up, which makes sense – I was way behind in planning it, too. Fortunately, noting my lack of progress, the Great Satan Inc crew took the reins. With very little lead time remaining, they managed to get us a great candidate as a special guest, and a fabulous restaurant as a new venue.

Stolen from Exurban League because my pictures sucked Picture from Exurban League’s write up of the event, none of my shots turned out.

Coup des Tartes is very near my office, near enough that I have passed by often and thought, “That place seems interesting, I should check it out sometime”. Sometime never seemed to happen, however, until the Rendezvous Room was suggested for our group. What a fabulous suggestion that was! I still can’t comment on the Coup des Tartes menu proper, but I give the party trays they served us 5 stars. I will certainly be going back again soon. Also getting rave reviews, the chocolate-caramel tart which was presented to me complete with a birthday candle (Thanks again to my friends Capitalist Pig & MzVRWC for remembering). Oh Em Gee, that was freaking good.

Pamela Gorman was also delightful, a primo choice on the overflowing menu for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. Gorman is a candidate I’ve had on my radar since she was in our state senate. Having her enter this race assured there was at least one candidate I was familiar with right off the bat.

She has since become quite the new media phenom, most notably with her high-caliber video which has been featured on TV shows, both news & opinion oriented, across the political spectrum. She even made it onto Red Eye, which gives her additional coolness points ๐Ÿ˜‰ Stephen Kruiser calls her a friend, she is a favorite of the Smart Girls. She’s a mother, and she’s a fighter. She can handle a gun and she can handle a budget.

Understanding a budget is a rare quality in a politician – that alone puts her ahead of the pack.

If I lived in CD3 I’d vote for her. If I lived in Chicago, I could vote for her! Ba-Boom, Thank you. I’ll be here all week.

Nope, we have dibs on Pamela Gorman in the Southeast valley, if she’ll relocate for us. I have it on the second highest authority (me) that she likes firearms.

Glad you had a happy birthday, Mz. Vox!

PapaTodd, if you lived in Chicago, you vote for her at least twice, don’t be stingy. ๐Ÿ˜‰
