Why You Should Vote NO on Prop 100

Another analogy:
If you hire someone to paint your house and notice as he’s working that it really looks like crap, do you think,
“Gosh, if I just give him more money I bet he’ll be better at his job?”
Throwing more of your good money after the bad already being wasted in this state, not just on education, will not suddenly get folks to be better at their jobs. Arizona children won’t suddenly understand the subjects that aren’t being properly taught to them now. If we currently spend $9,000 per pupil (much more than the private schools that consistently get better results) do you think we should double it? Would $18,000 per pupil solve the problem? $20,000? $50,000? What do you think the magic monetary number is?
The failure of our education system is not rooted in a lack of funds.
The failure of our state government to manage a budget should not be solved by bailing them out with more of my money – or yours. Again. And again.
