Great Minds

I just left this in a comment over on Facebook:

You seem to be someone who just wanted SOMETHING done, and so now you are happy that SOMETHING is in place. That is how we ended up with Obamacare, and if liberals were willing to be honest about it they’d admit that in trying to help the uninsured/underinsured, they have created a monster of ill-advised legislation. If conservatives are honest, they would look at the text of SB 1070 and see that it is a poor answer to a very real problem.

What’s more, if it is turned over in the courts, it risks setting back the drive for a real, workable solution.

Then I head over to Exurban League and see this:

In the same way that Obama supporters are backing a horrible law because of their feelings that something should be done about the problem of America’s health care, so are Arizona Republicans backing a horrible law because they believe something, ANYTHING should be done about illegal immigration, no matter the consequences.

I was referred to as a liberal today because I see problems with this law. Nice to know I’m not alone.
