You Are Now Free To Move Outside The Country

I almost forgot to mention – I got my passport yesterday. When I finally managed to get the application in (boy, they don’t make it easy, do they?) I was told I would have to wait until at least October 13th unless I chose to pay for expedited processing. Since I don’t actually have anywhere I am planning on going, I figured I could just wait.
What a great surprise to open my post office box yesterday and find the official government mail. πŸ™‚ The new passports are a lot prettier than the old ones, full of patriotic images and quotes. Of course, my old passport picture was better (spiral perm & peacock bangs not withstanding) – I changed a bit in the last 17 years….
I guess I should come up with a trip now – seems a shame to let a perfectly good passport go to waste.

Since Nepal involves camping and intense physical activity, I’m guessing she was leaning toward Greece for me πŸ˜‰
