I feel really sorry for this lady – really I do.
But how is Wal-Mart the bad guy here?
BTW: Did the family bother to sue their original lawyers for taking over half of the settlement?

I think they should sue the lawyer for malpractice. A competent accident attorney should have known that the original health plan could request repayment, and included that amount in the suit, and in any settlement.
