That Is Some High Quality H2O

Water The dogs learned to drink from a water fountain this week. Hooray.

I have been trying different ways to keep the pups hydrated on our walks; from carrying bottles of water to carrying a fold-up bowl, nothing was really working for us. I started just cupping my hand at the fountain and letting them drink that way but, as you can imagine, that was not especially effective.

I managed to convince Cash to jump up on me and lean in to drink, though Tango was reluctant. After a couple of days, Tango got the idea, as well. Just to show he is still ahead of the game, Cash then learned to lean on the fountain directly to get his refreshment.

By Saturday, they didn’t need any encouragement. They know when we are headed to the fountain and as soon as I give the OK they are queued up for their turn.

Now if I can just get them to push the button themselves we’re in business 🙂
