I have been severely slacking this year on my run-up to the Oscars®. They have just been less & less fun the last couple of years.

    We have seen 3 of the 5 best picture nominees – Those out on DVD – BABEL is amazing.

    It’s been hard for me this year too. It seems like there were a TON of movies this year. I have seen quite a few but I’m still only half way done! Grrr….
    I think Babel will probably win. But I have to say, I really, really loved The Departed. I also hope that Jennifer Hudson wins for Best Supporting Actress. She was AMAZING in Dreamgirls.

    The Queen rules all. Little Miss Sunshine is this year’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding — a glorified sitcom that somehow, inexplicably generated great buzz.

    WOW – We liked THE DEPARTED and all (got caught up in it’s twists and turns) but it seemed like just another gangster movie to us. Very surprised to see it win “Best Picutre” at the Academies though, I guess I am happy to see Scorsese get some recognition for a change.
