   As Dennis Miller once said after the Hugh Grant/Liz Hurley episode, “For every gorgeous woman in the world, there’s a guy who’s tired of having sex with her.” How can that be?
   How can it be, too, that some of the most beautiful women in the world attach themselves to athletes, actors, rock stars, and businessmen who have little going for them–and sometimes lots going AGAINST them, e.g., old age and unappealing looks–aside from social and economic status?
   It’s all about hard-wired strategies for passing on our genes. That’s what the evolutionary psychologists and biologists say, anyway. I find their stuff persuasive.
