Net Access Everywhere

Posted on | April 27, 2006 | 3 Comments

I have been considering a web enabled phone lately, and I am leaning towards T-Mobile and their MDA handset. The plan seems pretty reasonable, and the phone is cool.
Besides, the Shiny girls seem to like it.
Are any of you familiar with this set up, or do you use one like it?

Hey, Vox. I just signed up for the T-Mobile SDA, rather than the MDA. You don’t get the full keyboard with the SDA, so if you expect to do a lot of emailing, you’re probably better off with the MDA. But the SDA got GREAT reviews everywhere, and you can pick it up for $0 at letstalk.com (as opposed to $200 at T-Mobile). The MDA, on the other hand, got merely good reviews. The Treo 650 beats it pretty handily, but they don’t offer that at T-Mobile. T-Mobile does, however, have the cheapest rate plans and a brand new Blackberry phone with full keyboard, so you might want to check that out (if you haven’t already).

T-mobile is giving away free wi-fi weekends to t-mobile customers. That’s a hotspot every Starbucks, or 50 feet.
