Have You Seen This Couple?

Posted on | July 30, 2007 | 12 Comments

A jump drive was found containing, among other things, this couple’s wedding photos. They are dated June 21, 2007 and appear to have been taken in a park. One of the photos is of a bridge and the plaque says (as best I can figure) “Guest House Bridge, dedicated in memory of Byron Peck”
I would love to be able to return it to them, but . . . how do I track them down?
UPDATE: I uploaded a photo of the venue here, in case anyone recognizes it.

According to google, G. Byron Peck was an artist in the DC area.
Where did you come across the jump drive? You might post an ad on Craig’s list for the city in which you found it.

I am not sure where it was found, other than somewhere in the Phoenix metro area. Our bookkeeper’s son found it, and she left it for me – no other info.
I think I made out a mention of Glendale on the plaque, but I can’t be sure.

I think I recognize that place! And I believe it is Glendale. Let me think about this a little more …

That’s Sahuaro Ranch Park, in Glendale. So I’ll chare venue credit with Michelle, who was exactly right.

“Weddings. For information about weddings in the rose garden, call (623) 435-0072”
I’ve attended a rose garden wedding there, and they use one of the historical houses for a bride’s room. Possibly the Glendale Parks & Rec people can help. The card should have dates on it, which they can cross-reference with their schedules.

I called the park office, but they are only open from 10-2. I left a message and will try again tomorrow.
Thanks to the Scoobies for the help – it will be fun to get it back to the newlyweds 🙂

    Yeah! Mystery solved!
Dan, you’re too generous with the credit. You’re definitely the top scooby on this.

Easy as pie. I’ve had cub scout meetings in that park, studied in that park, made out in that park, been chased out of that park, used the library adjacent to the park, and graduated from the college on the other side of the park.
What can I say? I’m Glendale bred.

    So, any progress?

The park said I can drop it off in case someone comes to look for it – but since it was found in a different parking lot, I don’t think that is where they would go.
And that would be a bit of an anticlimax.

    Alas! Any other leads?
