Blogtoberfest 3

Posted on | September 27, 2006 | 11 Comments

It has come to my attention that there are those who see this as being a gathering of Right Wing Fanatics (I think Michelle would laugh at being classified as Right Wing. No not insulted or angered, amused)
So far, those who have responded tend to be those who read my blog, they are likely to agree with me on some issues – though by no means on all. I have asked others to post the info on their blogs to widen the scope of potential attendees. I have asked that other bloggers spread the word to their friends. I had hoped it would be a bunch of people who live in a great state and make a hobby of posting trivial bits of their life online getting together for drinks and munchies.
I don’t think we are going to end up talking politics all night, more likely the menu, the weather, our families, our jobs.
Please – come one, come all. There is no litmus test to attend.

If it’s going to be all open and tolerant and stuff, I’m not coming.

I was told that instead of poetentially divisive political banter that there would be monkey knife fights instead- that’s something we can all unite around

Ah, the common denominator of both sides of the aisle:
    Booze.

Now, SAJU & AM, somebody might take you two seriously.
Not just booze, Woods, but “a darn good beer selection”
I sure hope we can fill the place up.

I just saw this! I AM laughing! My dad would be more amused — Bill should be too.

I have no idea how it is that I got invited to this thing, but I was actually considering coming until I saw the Right Wing rumor. (Rhetorical suggestion: Don’t be like the APA and respond to Tom Cruise, thus giving his words more press coverage, if you don’t want to legitimate it!) Plus, I’ll be working basically all but 4-6 p.m. that day and might want to spend some time with my family. I don’t suppose that this location is family-friendly at all?

I’m not sure how you got invited, either – but if you are a blogger, I’m
glad you did! I have been trying to get to as many blogs as I know about,
and I have a friend helping me. I guess one of us must have sent you the
info. I hope you can come.
This place is family friendly, as I understand it. I haven’t actually eaten
there myself, so I can’t tell you from my own experience. Anonymous Mike
says he often takes his kids there for the homemade root beer and they love
it. We will be out in the patio area, which is enclosed but should be sunny.
I am not sure how I am going to designate our group, yet, but I am going to
try and make us easy to find.

oh homemade root beer sounds really good — a lot better than beer — yuck. I tried beer once when I was young and thought it smelled and tasted like something that ought to be in the toilet. LOL

I’d have emailed ya Vox, but since I don’t have your address I’ll leave it here.
I have an extra PT job during the week and they asked me to work the next two Saturdays, since all my computer is broken and needs to be replaced, I will sadly have to cancel my attending. Very sorry I wouldn’t be able to join everyone, be sure someone has a beer for me.

We’ll miss having you there – but will definitely get you in on the next one.
I’ll make sure several beers are enjoyed in your honor 😉
