TUNES – 28

I didn’t really have a theme in mind when I realized it was time to change the RadioBlog – so I set my MP3 player on random (well, that is how I usually have it) and made a playlist for you. You get a really broad range of selections from my 8000+ files.
For instance:
- Some fun Louis Prima
- A couple of versions of Beatles songs
- Revolution from the I Am Sam soundtrack
- Things We Said Today from jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli
- A couple of versions of As Time Goes By
- Poetry read by the poet, from Poetry Speaks – such a cool book
- Speaking of guitar players:
- George Benson (not one of my favorite cuts – but I didn’t pick it)
- Mark Knopfler (from a soundtrack)
- Jimi Hendrix
- Pete Pancrazi
- Eddie Duran – very spare treatment
- Eric Clapton (his guitar playing pales compared to the others in this group)
- Speaking of jazz
- Novo Mundo – a local group
- Frank Sinatra (he showed up twice)
- Nancy Wilson (not one of her jazzier cuts)
- Diana Krall
- Johnny Hartman
- Charlie Parker
- Billie Holiday
- Louis Armstrong
- Annie Ross
- Speaking of esoteric
- Tuvan throat music – one voice singing multiple notes at a time
- A Broadway show tune
- or two (really can’t stand this one…)
- Folk singers, rockers, classical…..
Something for everyone – you just have to wade through. Enjoy.
