    Obviously, we Americans are just too barbaric to understand the subtlety – after all, we are the only bad guys currently in that region, right?

    Of course not. You’re forgetting the barbaric Israelis and their cruel fences and walls. Surely it is far worse to build a fence, than to give a savage beating to the victim of a brutal rape under the aegis of the rule of law.
