If Bill Ayers is not a bad guy, and his activities are so far in the past, why is associating Obama with him a "negative attack"?
I'm just asking...or is that racist?

If Ayers is a good guy, he should say, "Yes, we served on a board together. Yes, he was kind enough to allow me to begin my political career in his home among his friends. Yes, I helped him in his vision of education reform because it is a subject I feel strongly about" etc
"He's just a guy in my neighborhood", "I was 8 years old when he did that", "the McCain campaign is so negative' - those just don't cut it.
