Not About Palin!

I thought I would take a break from the Palin blogging to update the info on our next get-together.

Special Agent Johnny Utah will be back in town on the 14th, so I was hoping we could get some bloggers together for food and drinks.

Since the only west-sider who will be there is me, I thought we could aim for something a bit more central. How about Corbin's Bar & Grill? They have no happy hour on the weekends, so let's have some dinner. How about 5ish?

Here's what I am thinking:

Sunday, Sept 14th, 5:00 -> ?
Corbin's Bar & Grill
8729 N Central Ave
602-466-3201

We previously had positive RSVPs from Special Agent Johnny Utah, John McJunkin, John Moore, & Anonymous Mike. Lori thought maybe yes, but now it looks more like no.

Can you guys still make it? Anyone else?

I'm out.

In addition to the Honey-Do's, I have to show up at the range to show off the new website I built for them.

Maybe next time. I would have liked to meet a college football QB turned FBI agent.

:)

What no block party in front of El Gringo's house?

I have been informed by the young and lovely Mrs. Mike they will go camping that weekend... . if so we'll catch the 5:00 PM Church and I'll be there 6L:30 or so

I'll make it, although it makes me nervous to be meeting with you all during an election year. My dad asked me to be open minded about Palin*, so I'll do my part by having dinner with you guys and listening to what you have to say. :-) I probably won't say very much, unless the conversation turns to our personal lives.

*Isn't cute when dads try to change their children's minds? (Are you reading this, Anon Mike?)

Pfft!

My older boy still isn't sure if I'm a Republican or Democrat- which is more than I can say for some members of his family who are trying to indoctrinate him as a Democrat ("no my boy, that's not true... Republicans don't like to kick puppy dogs and feed kittens to crocodiles")

I plan on being there. I am sure I will do a lot more listening than talking when it comes to politics also, more from ignorance than preference, though I do have my opinions.
