U-Turn

Advanced education, say....law or medical school, at an advanced age.

Pros? Cons?

A friend in his mid30s is just finishing law school. He found the experience a bit tiring as most of his classmates at ASU were either very young (liberal) or exmilitary (conservative). The young didn't understand the real world often coming straight from BA degrees.

Finding a voice of moderation was difficult. This was a pretty cynical person from IT consulting during the dot com bubble and working for a big time consulting firm so he has seen alot of BS.

I think it is an awesome idea! Personally, law would be very fascinating. Beyond that I have ultimate respect for people who try to grow and learn. I think if you have the time and means that there is little else you can do in life that will be as fulfilling and rewarding.
