AZ Bloggers - 3

First off, this gathering needs a clever name - anyone?

Second, looks like October 7th it is. Mark your calendars. I was thinking mid-afternoon so out of towners who want to avoid an overnight stay can stay for a few hours and still get on the road before midnight. Also, less likely to be crowded at the restaurant so service might be less of a hassle with the group.

Third, we need to decide on a venue. The following three seem to be the most conducive to our event, and all three are smoke free/nearly smoke free. Spaghetti Factory and Sonora Brewhouse assure me that they have no issues that would cause problems for an electric wheelchair, however I suspect they would say that just to get business in the door. I have been to Spaghetti Factory and I know they have ramps, but I can't remember if they have the tables smashed close together or anything like that. I will run past there in the next day or two and check it out. Could someone who is close to/familiar with the Sonora Brewhouse give it a quick gander for accessibility? I would appreciate it.

Duck & Decanter has a nice outdoor patio which should be fine, but I don't know about getting through the store and/or into the restroom. I can run by there, too.

Bloggers and readers that I am currently counting on:

Other Arizona Blogs on my list that I have not heard from:

Then there are all the ones in the AZ Bloggers webring

Sorry, I am too far away. It's almost four hours to PHX for us.

You can't blame me for hoping ;-)

Vox,

Sonoran Brewing Company is ground floor and relatively wide aisle access to the patio- so I don't believe there are any accessiblity issues, but I have no idea what to look for

Restrooms are not going to be a problem because I always plan for that in advance -- I don't drink a lot! LOL

Just as long as I can get in and out of the restaurant and get to a table -- that's all I need!

I appreciate you all checking into that for me. :-)

PS: you can add my husband Norm to the confirmed list -- www.normradio.com

This sounds like fun! I haven't talked to the husband about it yet, but the date sounds good to me. :-) I'd love to go! Count me in.

BIG BIG POUTY LIP! I will still be in Albuquerque enjoying the balloon festival, but I would love to do it in the future if you get together again.

I realized later that this was a blogger meet-up, and I thought maybe I was intruding. Then I remembered that I have a blog (only a handful of people know about it), but I haven't posted on it since April 14. It's a memorial to that day. Thanks for including me! :-)

I'm up for trying the Sonoran Brewery (something new to me).

Even if you had no blog, you are a big part of the Arizona blogs - you have to come :-)

We seem to be leaning toward the Sonora Brewhouse - I'll start working on the details with that location in mind.

Well, damn! Talk about a scheduling conflict!

I would be willing to come if only I didn't work Saturdays from 9-5:30ish. If everyone is still around after 5:30 (not too sure what the time will be) and my husband is ok with it, I would love to go.

We would love to have you!

We are looking at happy hour-ish, which is 3-6, but I imagine we will still be hanging around. I'll give you my cell number so you can call and be sure we are still there. There is a chance, too, that the time will change.

We'll keep you posted.
