Where Credit is Due

A client wants to credit me on the CD sleeve for some photos that I took. Unfortunately (besides the fact that I am still pissed off and don't want to be associated with the bleepin' thing at all) the pictures that "Bob" chose to use are not the ones I would have chosen, and he messed with them in ways I wouldn't have. I know this because he sent me the final edit for proof reading -

I told him he could not use my name, but could credit them as "Photos taken by Alan Smithee" - can't wait to see if he does it.

I never understand why people hire a professional to do a service, then think they can "improve" upon that with their little touches here and there - - stuff like that irks me to no end. I liked your response to him - and look forward to reading what he says back :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Vox! :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

I haven't heard back from him yet, he may have gotten the picture. (?) I doubt he has the cajones to use "Alan Smithee", he'll probably go with "photos from my private collection" or something boring like that.

I just looked back at my billing and realized I haven't billed him for those photos - - heh

Looks like he may go with the "Alan Smithee" after all - cool.
