I have been trying to come up with something to write about this. Words fail me.
All I can say is that I still believe that there is more good in the world than bad, though I know in Spain it must be hard to believe that, having been so very recently visited by such evil.
I've also been trying to remember what made me feel 'better' after 9/11. I remember the images of people in other nations gathering in front of American Embassies, leaving flowers and cards; the images of the world holding their candles and mourning along with us; seeing volunteers working through nights and days to dig in the rubble; hearing about the heroes that went into the burning Pentagon to save those trapped and dying; and those that lost their lives in an attempt to save others.
All those things that showed me that where evil aims, goodness grows.
