California governor makes stand on dirty toilets
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Governor Gray Davis, seeking to bolster his low popularity a month before a recall vote against him, has come out against dirty toilets in schools. Apparently convinced that it was not enough to ask administrators and janitors to keep toilet facilities clean, Davis on Wednesday announced his support of legislation that makes clean bathrooms a priority in the spending of maintenance funds.
