I love chocolate
I love finding new things
I love finding new ways to enjoy coffee & chocolate.
So, when I walked into McDonald’s today and saw this new (at least to me) drink, “Frappe”, I just had to try it. Bad idea – because it was fantastic and now I’m hooked.
It is what a Starbucks Frappuccino wishes it were…but larger…and cheaper.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Definitely love ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
And having somewhere to post the pics after I scan them.
I wonder if kids growing up now will have the same joy on finding these old treasures, flipping through page after page of frozen, forgotten memories. Their whole lives are captured and stored digitally, perhaps that will make those memories more easily accessible… so will they ever get this burst of happy nostalgia?
For me, going through my mother’s old albums has always been one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon.
I love my step family
This gorgeous baby is the latest addition.
Just over a decade and a half ago, my mom married an amazing man. A man brave enough to take on our enormous family, and all the extra work it involves. A man with three daughters of his own. I am so enjoying seeing them as they’ve grown and started families of their own. Including this precious new angel.
I love my Valentines!
My sweet boyfriend and the amazingly-perfect-for-us pups that he picked out for me.
I never thought I would be able to open my heart up to more pets after the heartbreak of losing my old dogs, but D showed me how much better it would be with dogs in our life – and helped me feel vulnerable enough to accept the unbelievable amount of love they give.
He is so many things I never knew I wanted in a man, and now I can’t imagine how I’d survive without them.
I love these trees.
I have no idea what they are, but I see them all over the city. They are just a burst of happy white flowers, I can’t help but smile when I see them. They seem to also be a haven for the bees, if you get up close you can see how alive the blooms are with activity. Glorious.
Not sure it would be a great choice for my yard, though, as it seems to leave quite a mess below – but I sure am glad there are homeowners willing to put up with that so I can enjoy them
D’s truck was broken into. They stole some tools, destroyed his steering column trying to hot wire it and, we thought, took his Zune.
It turned out that the steering column cost less to fix than we expected. The tool set they stole was old and incomplete so, though an expense we’d rather avoid, they were due to be replaced anyway.
And the Zune, which is loaded with all of D’s favorite MP3s, turned up at home a few days later.
Life is full of happy surprises.
Bonus: Live version of the MoZella track
I love my boyfriend’s hands.
They are so strong and so gentle.
He can build the puppies a glorious doggy condo in a day, and then stroke their fuzzy little heads when he tucks them in. He can grill up the most amazing ribs, and he can make luscious homemade brownies.
I love that when we walk together, he always reaches out to take my hand in his.
His hands make me feel safe – and they make me feel loved.
I love my mom
Today is her birthday, but I chose this pic from when she graduated several years ago. It took her 40 some years to do it, owing to her marriage and raising 6 children. After my parents divorced, she worked multiple jobs to ensure we had everything we needed, but never stopped her quest for advanced education.
Out of high school, she went to UofA, she later attended ASU – and most of the community colleges in the Phoenix metro area. She finally got it wrapped up at NAU and we were all so proud to go see this moment.
My mother is the most amazing woman I have ever met; inspirational, adventurous, optimistic, kind….and loved by all who know her.
I LOVE this dressing.
I don’t like fish, so when D is in a sushi mood, I get teriyaki chicken. At Mr Sushi, the meal comes with a large salad and this amazing dressing. I have no idea what is in it; sesame, cucumber…? I just know that when my salad is gone, I clean out the dressing dish with my fingers (much to D‘s embarrassment)
I can’t help it, I’m obsessed!
(I don’t love that my camera battery was nearly dead, this shot is all fuzzy)
