Ed Morrisey shares some of California’s newly proposed legislation, meant to ensure the undocumented don’t cross illegally into areas they shouldn’t:
As the author of the bill says,
“…folks were there without [...] credentials; they were asked to leave, and they didn’t,” Portantino said. “The question was raised whether current trespassing laws were written in a way that covers that sort of situation. We’re trying to bring clarity to the whole issue so law enforcement knows how to and has the discretion to handle it.”
Of course, he’s talking about parties where his Hollywood friends prefer not to deal with the riffraff, even if the riffraff are hard-working men & women who are just trying to improve their lot in life.
As with most stories at Hot Air, the comments don’t disappoint ~
If I can sneak my wife into one of these events and she gives birth, is the baby automatically a movie star with all the rights and privileges that entails?

They aren’t party crashers. They are undocumented attendees.
They didn’t cross the velvet rope. The velvet rope crossed them!

I’m sure there are more gems since I started writing this – my advice is that you go readitall, as they say.
I wonder, if an undocumented attendee manages to go undetected for the first hour of the event, do they get automatic V.I.P. status, allowing them to attend all such events in the future?
