I never really had a problem with people wearing the flag, I can appreciate the patriotism. (On t-shirts & ties, that is. I still want to smack people in American flag swimsuits & running shorts, etc)
However, this confuses me. It seems the homeowners want to declare their love of country by including the flag in the painted address block. On the curb.
Where he or she DRIVES OVER IT every day. And, as you can see, the birds poop on it.
If it really is the thought that counts, perhaps there should have been a bit more thought put into this one.

You have a very strange perspective of patriotism. Looks like you need to write a book to educate people the difference between right and wrong in your little world. (Now I better go throw out that white t-shirt I used to wear under my fatigues that had a flag on it.)
Ah, you’re back. Wish I could say that I missed you, but we both know that’s not true.
Your reading comprehension hasn’t improved, though, or you would have seen that I said I don’t have a problem with American flags on t-shirts. If you had any knowledge of this country’s history, you would know that it was a very big deal when people began wearing clothing adorned with the flag, as it was seen as disrespectful.
There you are, claiming to have worn fatigues (though I guess in this instance, you made no claims that they didn’t come from the surplus store) I can’t imagine why my opinion of what you wear would matter so much to you, though you’ve proven time and again some odd obsession with me & this blog. However, since it seems you do care, I’ll let you off the hook by reminding you – again – that flags on shirts don’t bother me.
What bothered me about this one is that, in trying to show his love of the flag, he had it painted ON THE GROUND. Where he drives over it. Which is unambiguously disrespectful.
(Now go report to your handler. Or send her over; just because I don’t visit her blog anymore doesn’t mean she isn’t welcome here)
