Tutoring

Remember in the old days, when they used to have tutors on set for child actors. Apparently, Lindsay Lohan didn't get one - or she was a very bad student.

Click here for her nearly incoherent statement re: the death of Robert Altman

One of my pet peeves right off the bat - " am lucky enough to of been able ". Just because you mispronounce it when you are speaking does not make it correct when you write it. It is "to have" have, have, have.

The rest of it is just ridiculous, including where she says "The fighting, the anger, the drama is tedious" and then heads out for some hard core partying drama.

I poked around a little on that site, and saw a photo of her that was almost completely unrecognizable! Dark brunette with thick eye make-up and she looked completely out of it!

I know some of us have a really hard time growing up. We make too many mistakes going down the wrong paths. Part of me feels badly for her, in the sense that all of her mistakes are right out there for the world to put under a microscope. She does look like she needs a 28-day stay at a rehab center. A good shrink might also come in handy....and of course a tutor in grammar and writing. ;-)

I think her problems, like most people's I guess, are a result of bad parenting. Take a drug using jailbird father, a party animal immature mother who wants to be her daughter's BFF, throw in too much money and too much free time - it is a recipe for disaster.

Contrast her life with child stars who had parental supervision complete with rules and a sense of themselves beyond their Hollywood selves. I do feel sorry for the child she was, but she is old enough now to know better and has certainly heard from enough people that she should address her issues. Too bad she isn't ready to listen. I remember seeing her in those Disney movies when she was little and thinking she would have a great career - never guessed she would grow up to be such a ... whatever it is she is.

She's about a hundred times as talented as Hilary Duff or the Olsen twins, but her private behavior is turning her into a joke. Did you see her on TV tonight? Talking about how Paris Hilton had hit her and thrown a drink at her. I find it very hard to take her seriously in a movie any more. I think she's closer than she realizes to Playboy, "The Surreal Life," and then obscurity.
