To anyone for whom I send out an email newsletter:
Remember that big fight we had 8 months ago, where you finally agreed that you had to give me updated information at least 5 days prior to my deadline for sending out your newsletter? Remember how I have been pretty much a stickler for that, the same way you have been a stickler for my sending the newsletter on time?
Remember how last month I asked you to proof read the newsletter prior to it being sent and you said you did, but after it went out you called to tell me that one of the dates had been changed 'weeks ago'?
Remember how I called you on Thursday and asked you if you had any changes (even though we agreed it was your job to get them to me, not my job to track them down) and you said no?
Remember how when you sent me new names to add to your email list on Saturday I emailed you back and said it was OK this time, but you missed the deadline you suggested and in the future late additions might not make it?
Remember how on Monday I called you and asked if the gig you were questioning was still on (you said yes), and whether you had added any new ones for November (you said no) because I was about to hit "Send"?
Remember how I asked if you would proof read the newsletter before I sent it out and you said you didn't have time to deal with it?
So why, 4 hours later when you get your copy of the newsletter, do you call me up and ask if I have already sent it because you "cancelled that thing on the 4th"? How much more freakin' hand holding do you need? How is it my problem that this "misinformation got sent out"?
Thanks for listening.
