I have a dog. She snores. A raspy, broken, thoroughly disconcerting kind of a snore.
I have a bird. Since cockatiels are supposed to be able to learn to mimic and vocalize, I have been trying to teach her things. Simple things like a wolf whistle, a "Hello". No luck.
Why do I tell you this? Because last night I heard my dog snoring and got up to pet her so she'd stop, but she wasn't in the room. That's right, I now have a bird that snores like a dog. Sigh
Oh man, that is funny!!! Remind me to tell you about a bird that was giving away an affair.

Posted by: yayaempress at October 17, 2005 06:27 AMThat is tooo funny! Thanks for the laugh this morning. And one for you, the computer I have for temporary use...yeah it has one of those goofy curved keyboards, and with a wrist that won't turn, it's a real trick!!
Posted by: onelamb at October 17, 2005 10:19 AMI can only laugh at that because recently, my soon-to-be-9-year-old poodle has started snoring. She's not as loud as her soon-to-be-7-year-old sister, but it's close.
Put the two of them together and it's almost like my husband *is* actually sleeping with me every night. :)
Posted by: Stacy at October 22, 2005 06:46 PMMy Hubby was an Air Force pilot so he was gone quite a bit, too. Especially when Desert Storm came around. When he was home I always complained about the snoring, but when he was gone I missed it. After we split up I was sad knowing I wouldn't ever hear him snore again.
Then along came SG - a much different snoring sound, to be sure, but aggravating and comforting just the same.
