How Does That Happen

I often watch TV while I work, whether at home or at the office. This generally does not present a problem - unless I am hungry and a commercial comes on for the DQ Brownie Batter Blizzard.

So, of course, I had to go get one...only the DQ was closed.

OK, I can adapt ~ Jack in the Box has flavored shakes, I'll go there. I go ahead and pull my little car into the drive-through (those of you who know me, know I hate drive-throughs) and wait my turn. Get to the microphone and order my Chocolate Malted Crunch shake..and she says "I'm sorry, we don't have any shakes tonight. We're out" They're out of shakes. At Jack in the Box?!? Fine, whatever - but now I am stuck because there are cars behind me and cars in front of me.

On the way home I pass a Circle K and pull in there (scary place with many scary people hanging around outside) so I can get an Ice Cream Sandwich.

So, I got an ice cream fix - but not the one I wanted...which means I have to go later in the week to get the Blizzard. And I just have to wonder - how does Jack in the Box run out of shakes?

I once went through a drive-thru McDonald's with my son a long time ago. They were out of hamburger. I couldn't figure out why they were even open. :P

Very strange...

I can think of three reasons why Jack in the Box ran out of shakes:

1. They actually ran out of shake mix, which odds of that are pretty slim.

2. The shake machine broke down, which could happen but odds of that are pretty slim also.

3. They tore down the machine to clean and sanitize everything, which is most likely what happened.

I don't see this on their list-
: Chocolate Malted Crunch shake

It is one of their special limited time flavors. They are also featuring Blueberries & Cream right now...yummy :-)

That has happened to me a few times with drive thru's. I'm all set to get a chocolate shake and they are like "sorry, are shake machine is down" blah blah blah. I get all butt hurt too. I feel like Clark W. Griswold when Marty Moose says "sorry folks... park's closed."
