Your Cheatin' Heart

Courtesy of CMT, the 40 Greatest Done Me Wrong Songs

Not sure I agree with all of them, and there are several I am not familiar with, but I gotta agree with number 1 - Hank broke your heart with that one. And, not only does he call her out as a cheater, he tells her she'll come crawlin' back and he won't be there. Basically, "I may be hurting but you will suffer for what you've done, too"

I have definitely sung along to number 36 a time or two in my life.

Ooh, and number 16 is one of my favorite songs of the last year.

I was working on a database and had CMT on in the background. They were running this show and, since I need instant gratification, I went to their website to see what the top songs were.

Figured as long as I was there I would post about it.....

Country music songs are such a catharsis. No matter what your emotion, c&w will amplify and purge it.

I wonder why they didn't include Randy Travis' "On the Other Hand"? I guess that's actually a faithful song, but it still sounds like a cheating song to me.

And "Goodbye Earl" is just plain funny.
