The movie star, 46, *had no idea* about the damaging effects linked to getting a fake tan when a friend bought him a voucher, and he went to a salon for the first time.
He recalls how he set his tanning goggles aside because he thought they were an option not a must.
He says, "I thought they weren't serious about that. As the lights were baking me, I was looking at myself in the reflective surface burning my eyeballs. I almost went blind from that." (KL/TG/CPT)

Sheesh! How long does a person stare at themselves in the mirror. I give a quick look to make sure I washed the shampoo out of my hair and that's about it.
And who gives Alec Baldwin a gift certificate for a tanning bed? What a crappy gift for a multimillionaire.
