Are you a Bushie?

Uptown Girl has a posted the question, Why Do You Support Bush? Head on over and let her know.

I left my comments there, but thought I'd put them here, too:
I support him because:

he is a good man - I believe a genuinely good man.
he has the strength of his convictions - it's nice to have a President again who doesn't rely on the polls for his decision making
he loves his wife - and it shows
he loves his children - and it shows
he loves this country - it's nice to have a President again who seems to understand his good fortune in being an American
he supports achievement - increasing the tax burden for those who are successful is counter-productive
like me, he supports a woman's right to choose - not to get pregnant, and realizes that after that there are other people to consider...one who is unable to express an opinion
he stood up and stood firm in the Middle East - despite the polls and the media, he remains steadfast
he is what he appears to be - and that makes me a believer

Great coment on the "right to choose." I hadn't seen that before. I'll send it to my daughter who counterdemonstrated the pro-abortion march in DC last weekend.

Yeah, I use that right to choose line a lot - usually throws whoever I am debating. Then they try to present their already weak arguement from the even weaker position of teenage pregnancy (even though most abortions - by a long shot - aren't performed on teens) and rape or incest (even though the statistics prove those cases to be a miniscule percentage of the whole, and there aren't prosecutions being pursued). They are really left with the old unplanned, inconvenient arguement...which carries no weight.
