Farewell to a Friend

John Ritter was an icon of my generation with that old sitcom, and I was enjoying his work in a new one. The show was mediocre at best, but I watched because he was there and he was good.

He died too young.

That's it. No matter how goofy his shows were, everyone has seen them. He is such a familiar fixture it feels like we kind of knew him.

Plus, it always bothers me more when I know there are young children left behind.
